Page part component and style sheets

I have an external css file that I want to apply to my horizontal dynamic menu in a page part component.

How do I associate the script which is in the same project as the component with the component or the dynamic menu?

Not sure I understand this, do you mean "How do I associate the css" instead of "How do I associate the script"?

You can't link a component with a style sheet directly, but you can do it indirectly via a presentation template. Then make sure that the component and any forms it's deployed to all use the same template.
