I created a Page Part Component in the Global project. The component contains a dynamic horizontal menu.
I linked (not embedded) the component on another form in a different project. After I make a change to the component, I clicked on the arrow to deploy it and it shows the form that is in the other project and can successfully deploy it to the other form.
After the first time that I have deployed this component, if I make a change to the component and try to redeploy it to the form in the other project, it doesn't show up anymore. It only shows another form within the same project as the component which also is linked to the component.
Is the other form supposed to be there and this is a bug or do changes to a linked component automatically update on the form that references the linked component ?
Update: I closed and re-opened the designer and now the external form shows up every time I go to deploy the component. It seems to be a bug in the designer.
Part Page Component not linked to Form after deployment

I experienced this again today. I couldn't deploy my component to my other project because it was not listed in the Deploy window until after I restarted the designer.
I have found a workaround that does not involve reopeining the designer. If I go to my form that links to the component and select one of the controls and make a change to it and then undo the change then save the form again, the link gets re-established.
