Server errors

#1

Postby azaleas » Sun Feb 07, 2016 1:09 pm

Hi fellows,

I've installed Version 5 of Ebase and I keep getting this error:

Local server not started or cannot be contacted on url

It happens when I try to run the form. Sometimes, it gets fixed when I go to File>Preferences>Test Server and just click ok. Designer window gets refreshed and everything works as usual.

What can cause this issue?

PS: Also, how can I stop/start integrated server without closing the Designer?

Top right of the designer is an icon to manage the server http://dev-docs.verj.io/ufs/doc/Designe ... oolbar.htm.

You can restart the server and see the server log.

I get this error message:

Tue Feb 09 17:38:48: ERROR Shutting down test server - no contact from designer for 30 seconds

how can I increase this time?

You can't change this time interval, but you shouldn't need to. The message indicates that the Integrated Test Server has become disconnected from the designer - this shouldn't happen, but if it does it can be fixed by just restarting the Integrated Test Server. If you still have a problem, can you check that the Integrated Test Server is configured to be used (File > Preferences > Test Server > Use Integrated Test Server) and if so check the server status (Manage Server icon > Server status) and check the server log for errors (Manage Server icon > Show server log) or log files in UfsClient/IntegratedServer/logs.
