mandatory field question

Postby xren » Fri Nov 08, 2013 4:19 pm

Hi,

I set a field on a form to mandatory. a save button and cancel button.

The behavior of mandatory I want is that when user click save button, then check the mandatory, if user click cancel do not check the mandatory.

How can this be done?

Thanks,
Xiaoli

Hi

You van check a checkbox "skip validation" in the designer for the cancel button control.

Making use of menu controls and did need to also process an option that skips any mandatory fields. The individual menu items don't have this property to "skip validation" which would be handy. Wondered if any other suggestion is available short of redesigning the pages menus to buttons.

You can set the "skip validation" option on the menu control itself, not the individual menu items.
