Disable Vallidation pop-up window

Hi,

Is there a way I can disable the validation pop-up window?

I read in another forum topic there wasn't but I would like confirmation before submitting it as an enhancement request.

No, that's right - you can't turn off the validation in the browser which results in the popup windows. The whole subject of input data validation is coming up for review soon, particularly with the idea of incorporating some of the features from HTML5. So please feel free to add an enhancement, and any suggestions for how you would like to see validation changed.

I managed to find a work around using the javascript from these two posts:

Requires a bit of tweaking to ensure the jhavascript can cope with empty fields and I would really like to highlight the border of a Field Grid - Field Control but that doesn't seem possible.
