Message: Local destination does not have a MessageObserver
I get this message - Local destination does not have a MessageObserver - when testing a logon service or workflow assignment service. What does it mean? How do I fix it?

The message means that the logon service has failed to initialize correctly, probably because of some normal error e.g. missing resource in business view etc. This original error will be on the server log somewhere but it may have occurred sometime in the past. When you subsequently attempt to use the service you get the unpleasant message - Local destination does not have a MessageObserver.
So to fix it, you need to find the original error message on the server log and correct the problem. You then have to force the system to reinitialize the service - to do this, either save the logon service or restart the server.
If you can't find the original error, restart the server, which will trigger reinitialization and look for the error message at this point.
