Postby xren » Fri Aug 02, 2013 9:05 pm

Hi,

I would like to have a read only fields but when I select "display only" for that page, then the editor box disappeared. I would like to have everything keep the same but only read only.

How can this be done?

Thanks
Xiaoli

Hi Xiaoli,

This can be achieved by editing "HTML element properties" for the field you want to make readonly. Under "Editor Input" tab, put "Custom attribute" readonly=readonly.

This will show the editor box, but user won't be able to edit the content.

This works great for text field!

- drop down list - works great by suing disabled='disabled'

- radio button and check box - can use disabled='disabled'

but the radio button and check box is grayed out - I still like the back ground be the white or the check mark be bold in that case it looks better.
Can this be done?

Thanks,
Xiaoli

A little late to answer but you can style a disabled field in CSS using the :disabled selector.
