Custom Layouts example

is it possible to give (an) example(s) (maybe in forum Ebase example apps) how to use Custom Layouts introduced in 4.5.1 ?

Hi Harry,

Have you read the documentation (%YourServerName%/ufs/doc/Custom_Layout.htm) on this subject? It is quite extensive with a step-by-step example of a working template.

There is also a link to a Velocity user guide on this page. Reading this helped me a lot in being able to understand what's going on in the default template that is inserted if you select 'Custom Resource' on a container.

I have used the new templating for 'basic field formating' as well as for more complex templates.

I will try to make some working examples. But because I'm quite bussy at the moment, I cannot say when I will post them on the forum.

Hi Dave,

Due to other work I only could look to it now, however: the page (Custom_Layout.htm) you mentioned I couldn't find (neither on the Ebastech site nor in my own server help files). Searching the topic didnot help either.

Rectification: I found it in the directory Dave mentioned! Earlier I searched the help index. It seems that this page is not in the help incorporated yet.
