Hi guys
Does anyone know if ebase can use external scripts as resources? (batch and PowerShell scripts)
Basically we have some scripts that colleagues run from the command-line. They have to remember to put in the correct parameters in the right format. I'm interested in mocking up some quick forms to make executing the scripts easier, but can't see an obvious way of telling ebase how to interact with the external scripts.
Any ideas would be gratefully received.
Thanks
Tom

Hi Tom,
Assuming that you want to execute scripts on the same machine as Ebase server, you can always create a Java class that executes the batch/PowerShell script(s) and wrap it as a External Resource. This way you can also capture any output and pass it back to the Ebase form.
Have a look at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6159 ... pplication
In one of our projects we do execute a .bat file from an Ebase form and its working fine.
Hope this helps!
