next/previous record with a repeater

I have a repeater and I want to only show 1 record at a time so I set the number of visible rows to 1. In the script which advances to the next record, I do tables.mytable.setCurrentRow(tables.mytable.currentRow+1) but nothing happens ad it remains on the first record.

I am not displaying the data in the repeater as a table but using fields.

I think you need to call scrollDown() on the Repeater Control.
