upload from browser to ftp server?

Hi,
I have a request from the client that, the upload files should be placed on another server which can be access from ebase server through ftp only.
I can upload the files to that server using somekind of mapping to a drive
(say drive G:) then set the value in the Upload To Directory in the server properties to that folder, but the problem is the image file (which is one of the files uploaded) after uploaded cannot be displayed in the image control.
The server where ebase installed is windows server 2012. I have tried to use the mlink to do somekind of symlink to the mapping drive and placed below the ebase root web app, still I couldn't access the file.

Any body has an experience about it? Care enough to share, please?
