How to deal with the two instances of server.xml

#1

In the 5.5.0 server installation I changed the server.xml to enable access via 8443 and the letsencrypt certificate files.

Now in 5.6.0 there are two instances of server.xml under UserData and VerjioServer. I changed the one under VerjioServer, but this doesn't have the required effect. I can still only access via port 3030. How do I use this correctly? Do I need to apply the changes in de UserData server.xml (only)?

I'm on 5.6. My server.xml with my port configuration is located in C:\VerjIOData\tomcat\conf which is where all user modified configs should be located. I'm pretty sure that the guys at Verj did this intentionally to separate the app server files from the user config files.

The server.xml in the VerjIO server location does not contain my actual config information

You should change the copy in Userdata. These are your files. The files in VerjioServer are the distributed files - these will be changed/replaced by a subsequent upgrade whereas the Userdata files won't be.
