How do I add line breaks to a text area field?

I need to script the addition of line returns to a text area field.

The value of the field is concatenated from address fields and two other fields. The field is mapped to a PDF printing resource field, the idea is to add basic formatting to improve the appearance of the printed form.

You need to insert \n \r which represents a return.
