A strange problem has surfaced during test. I am using the display command to allow a user to access a Windows document by resolving the file path as a URL, like so:
Code: Select all
display 'C:\Simon\Test.doc';
Code: Select all
display 'C:\#Simon\Test.doc';
"Windows cannot find '(null)' Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search."
I have tried numerous workarounds, including replacing the '#' symbol with the ASCII code and the HTML code, but nothing seems to do the job. Is it because the browser is trying to render the '#' as a fragment identifier? If anyone can drop me a hint, it will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Simon
