Versions of Ebase up to and including Version 3.3.1:

Java version 1.4.2 - Fully supported

Java version 1.5 - We are aware of one bug in Ebase: Custom (old) XML resources do not work.
This can be resolved by copying the xalan.jar file into folder UfsServer/tomcat/common/lib/endorsed.

Also, a new Java option is highly recommended (with Java 1.5 and 1.6).
Add the following line into the start_ebase_designer.bat file immediately following ":run"

Code: Select all

 set JAVA_PROPERTIES=%JAVA_PROPERTIES% -Dawt.useSystemAAFontSettings=true -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true
Java version 1.6 - Not tested.

Ebase version 3.4.0:

Java 1.4.2 with Tomcat 5.0 - Fully supported
Java 1.4.2 with Tomcat 5.5 - Incompatible

Java 1.5 - Fully supported

Java 1.6 - We are currently in the process of testing this with version 3.4.0
There is one reported problem with Java 1.6 and Tomcat 5.5 in the SSL area which concerns us - but this is not an Ebase issue.
