Hi,
Can the image URL filled with something like: c:\folder\file.jpg? or ftp:\\server\folder\file.jpg?

Well it can, but you have to remember this URL is processed in the client's browser so a URL of file://c:\folder\file.jpg means the C drive on the browser machine. Not normally what you want.
