Defining a database connection and found that you are not able to multi-select the tables from the chosen database.

This only applies when you defining a database resource (from right-click on project and selecting New -> Database Resource) and not via the tools ->resource wizard -> Database resource wizard.
Think since the same dialog is used, which states, "select table(s) to import" led to the assumption that you can create multiples here, but appears, only via tools... this is achievable.

Yes that's right. The import wizard works with the restriction that one Database Resource = one database table - that's why it won't let you import more than one table from inside an existing Database Resource. What are you trying to achieve? If you want to create some SQL that joins multiple tables, you do this by just entering the SQL in the boxes in the Database Resource - you don't want to use the import wizard in this circumstance.

My earlier note was just to clarify that this was the case as you posted, If I need to extend the SQL, this can also be done.
