We have recently become aware of date picker issues when using IE 8 and below.
The problem seems to occur only when one or both of the following are applied to the form:
1) Meta Viewport tag
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0" />
which is really intended for mobile browsers
2) Using CSS3 media queries (to get responsive templates to work) which are not by default supported in IE 8 or below.
I'm afraid the only workaround is to use jQueery date picker instead.

Hi Hovik, I've been doing some more fishing around. MSIE8 still accounted for 11% in June 2014 at least according to
http://data.gov.uk/data/site-usage?mont ... s_versions
We still use XP internally (c.7k PCs) which includes MSIE8 but are on with a program to upgrade to Windows 7.
We are trying to make our forms mobile friendly hence we are starting to convert existing forms to use a common css including viewport and media queries.
We do not want to have separate mobile and desktop sites and have made some good progress.
Using jquery is an option but it would be much better if we can stick to core Ebase functionality.
Thanks
