Is there a preferred javascript editting tool which can be used with eBase?
Perhaps one that catches syntax errors, version tracking, etc?

There is a JavaScript editor built into Ebase.
This will show you errors with your syntax. The errors are underlined in red. If you hover the house over the error, it should popup a tooltip with a hint of the error.
There is no version tracking at present. But this is something we are working on for the future.
