File -> New is greyed out in the Ebase Designer

Question:

Why can't I create new forms or elements in the Ebase Designer? The File -> New menu option is greyed out.


Answer:

You can only create new elements in a Development instance of Ebase, i.e. with a Development Licence.

Production (Live) and Testing licences do not allow for creation of new elements, but elements that have been created in your Development system can be imported to the Production or Testing systems.
