Fresh install 4.5.1, server starts ok, on designer start:-

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /home/blackwellm/ebaseXi/jre/lib/i386/xawt/libmawt.so: libXtst.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Extracted 32 bit files from here - http://pkgs.org/altlinux-sisyphus/class ... 6.rpm.html - into /usr/lib

Everything started ok. Hope this helps someone.

Hi Blackwellm,

Thanks for posting this information, as you say hopefully it will be useful to other users.

It looks like your Linux system was missing the libXtst.so.6 file that Java was looking for, Stack Overflow also has a small discussion on this.

Do you have any idea why this may have been missing? Is your version a standard one? Have you been running other Java applications on the same system without issue?

Any advice you can give would be appreciated and thanks again for posting.

Andy
