Installing Beta on Windows 7

Postby didyhans » Fri Nov 27, 2009 4:41 pm

I have installed the Version 4 beta on my Windows 7 machine but when I start the serevr I get loads of errors.

They are file permission, Access Denied Errors. I cannot use the serevr.

Should this work on Windows 7?

Thanks

Ebase Version 4 Beta Installer on Windows 7

Hi,

The installer runs and copies the Ebase files to the correct locations on Windows 7 but the permissions set on the folders (default c:\Program Files\ebase) do not allow the server to be started correctly.

To remedy this you could run the start_ebase_server batch file from a command prompt as an Administrator or change the security settings on the Ebase folder to allow your user to have write/full control permissions (this has to be done as an Administrator user, either by adding your user specifically or changing the Users group's perissions).

I hope this helps,

Andy
