Question:

How can I set up the Ebase Server (Tomcat) as a Windows Service?

Answer:

The following links gives instructions on:

How to set up Tomcat 5.5 as a Windows Service

How to set up Tomcat 7 as a Windows Service

Please note:
It has come to our attention that some of the parameters DON'T need a D at the start. These are the ones which in the past we have suggested as -DXX, they need to be -XX
And you will need to restart the service.
The important one is -XX:MaxPermSize. The incorrect setting is ignored and the default of 64m is applied which may well be insufficient for your application.

The Tomcat 7 document has been amended to this effect.

Please note:
This solution is provided by Tomcat and is not specific to Ebase.
