Do Studio and Server versions need to be the same?

Do the Studio and on premise Server versions of Verj need to be the same?

5.10 is the first new release since we upgraded our on premise Ebase server to Verj 5.9

If I upgrade my Studio to 5.10, can I still deploy to a 5.9 Server without any issues (and vice versa)?

The official answer is that it's always safest if the studio and server are using the same versions. Unofficially I would expect deploying from a V5.10 studio to a V5.9 server to work without problem in the vast majority of cases. Though there may be problems if you've included any of the new File Uploader controls into a form.

The other scenario - deploying from a V5.9 studio to a V5.10 server should be fine.
