'silent' XML import feature for deploying Ebase applications

It would be useful for deploying Ebase-based applications if we could have a 'silent' XML import feature, i.e. to be able to import an XML file into Ebase without having to run the Designer Client and directly use the Tools | Migration | Import option.

I envisage this being implemented as a web service which accepts the name (and optionally the location? Making it possible to import files which are not in the standard Transport folder) of the file to be imported. It would be useful if the web service also required the Ebase username and password to authenticate the upgrade.

This web service could then be called from an 'upgrade form' which we would provide, which could also carry out other tasks associated with the upgrade process (giving the user the option to configure parameters and properties, set security options on new features, and so forth).
