installing GoDaddy certificate in Ebase

#1

Postby Segi » Fri Apr 28, 2017 6:16 pm

I realize that this is generic for Apache Tomcat but I'm hoping that someone can help me.

We purchased an SSL certificate from GoDaddy that I want to use on our Ebase instance which is running internally (not publicly accessible).

I followed the instructions at https://au.godaddy.com/help/tomcat-gene ... cates-5239

My connector tag in server.xml looks like this:

Code: Select all

<Connector>
After restarting Tomcat, I'm geteting an error sec_error_unknown_issuer and the site its show an error that the site isn't secure.

Can anyone please tell me what I am missing ? I need to get this working ASAP

My guess is that you have not configured the path to the Java key store correctly.

Have you looked at this link:

https://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-7.0-doc/ssl-howto.html

Do you get any errors when starting Ebase?

Kind regards

Steve,

I have looked at that and that is close to what I am doing except that I am using a GoDaddy SSL cert and not a self signed one.

Yes I followed that exact site and it did not work. It does not server the SSL cert.

I assume this is the same for all browsers?

I do not think that this is an Ebase issue. It sounds like it is an issue with the certificate and Tomcat. It might be worth a message to GoDaddy and see if they are familiar with this error?

Steve,

I can tell you that it is definitely not an Ebase issue. It definitely is an issue with tomcat. I was hoping that someone here may have attempted to do the same thing that I am doing. I have already spoken to GoDaddy and they were not able to help me. Thanks anyways for trying to help.
