Publishing REST services - session

Do REST calls still have the same session timeout value?

I have an Ebase environment that will be used predominantly as a REST api interface. If I drop my session timeout will I get much benefit?
I do have the odd form but for those I can have a function with setInterval to keep the form alive.

No, REST calls are stateless and don't have sessions. Changing the timeout value shouldn't make any difference.
