text field does not hold "contains html" tick if i

We have a number of forms which have text fields that start life empty, we have the "contains html" box ticked.
This tick has vanished when we re-open the form.
If we place a single character into the field at creation time, then the "contains html" tick box remains populated.
We are using FPL to populate the field latter in the form, any ideas what is going on here?

We are running Ebase 4.5.4 with Tomcat 1.7.0_80

This is a known problem which has not yet been fixed. The only way around it is to include a non-blank text value initially.
