Next release?

#1

Postby Andy McMaster » Tue Sep 02, 2008 9:54 am

Hi,

Just wondering when the next release is due? I have a new server to build and possibly a rebuild on our existing and I'm tempted to wait for the new release if it's not too far off?

Cheers

Andy

We are currently working on the next major release, i.e. Version 4, but it will not be ready until next year.

The new version will include many enhancements, for example: the ability to create forms with much more flexible layouts, the ability to configure style sheets using presentation templates and support for external style sheets.

We are also working on a Service Pack which we hope to release in the next couple of weeks, although we don't have a definite date as yet.

Thanks for the update Sarah.

I'll probably wait for the service pack before I start a build. Have you confirmed what this includes/fixes yet?

Hi Mark,

Development on version 4 is progressing very well. Currently we have a tentative date of September 2009.

Thanks,

There are a number of seminars arranged regarding the new release on the Ebase website. http://www.ebasetech.com/index.php?opti ... Itemid=144

Thanks for that!

I rarely look at the website and just assumed some info would be here on the forums. Hopefully I'll be able to make the seminars.

Cheers

Is there any post to discuss any issues or "how to" related to 4.0 version
