ebase upgrade from 4.5.3 to 5.0.1 error

Hi,

I upgraded my ebase server from 4.5.3 to 5.0.1 following the instruction.

when I tested my forms, some of them cannot be open and reported exception (they were ok before the upgrade)
ERROR Unexpected exception initialising form
...........
javassist.bytecode.DuplicateMemberException: duplicate field: TEXT1_3
............

How can this be fixed?

Hi Xiaoli,

Can you please export one of these forms (and all associated elements) from your V4 system and email it to me.
I will then upgrade it to V5 and hopefully get the same error, and work out a solution.

Hi Hovik,

I think I found the problem. There are some duplicate control name for some fields on some forms which work fine in v4.5.3 but do not work in v5.

I changed the control name on one form then it works fine now.

Thanks for the export of the form. Yes I see the dupliacte text control name TEXT1_3. V4 obviously allowed this somehow and V5 does not.
