First impressions

Hi Ebase staff,

After the first couple of hours testing the beta of V5 I would like to let you know that my first impressions are very good! :D

I have made a little test form on a fresh install and I have upgraded an (small, local) existing installation containing a form I am currently working on.

Of course there are a lot of new things and some 'getting used to' working with V5. But until now I only found some 'nice to haves' but no real bugs.

Working with V5 in conjunction with GIT just feels 'natural' and I really like the way deployments are handled and can be rolled back. In theory (at least ;-)): no more connecting to production servers with the client, just deploying projects that were tested first on a staging server.
The workflow will be a lot more like the workflow we have for developing on Oracle's SOA platform that we use.

Ok, no questions in this post, I just wanted to let you know that it is very obvious that this update contains a lot of work, but I think that it was very much worth it!

I'll be testing some more (converting and testing copies of our production installations). Of course, when I run in to problems or have questions regarding V5, I'll post them here.

Regards,

David

what's the right Xi5 URL for starting a form that has the structure:

project N
folder N1001
form N1001

I tried:
http://localhost:3030/N/N1001/N1001.eb
http://localhost:3030/N/N1001/N1001
http://localhost:3030/N/N1001.eb
http://localhost:3030/N/N1001

But that gives a Http404 error (resource not available).

Kind regards,

Harry
