Changes introduced in Version 5.13.0
  1. New: Bootstrap 5 UI Framework support.

    Bootstrap 5 how now been integrated into Verj.io, alongside the Bootstrap 4 UI Framework.

  2. New: Themes

    A Theme is a powerful and flexible way of styling your application. It is a new Entity made up of web resources and powered by a Presentation Template.

    A Theme can be configured in a Project and all of its Forms and Components can automatically use this Theme. This makes it much easier to apply style consistently across your application. Individual Forms can still use their own Theme or a Presentation Template instead of the Theme configured in the Project.

    Themes can be changed at runtime via the Verj.io Javascript API:
    • projects.setTheme(): Change every Project to use a new Theme.
    • project.myProject.setTheme(): Change that Project’s Theme.
    • form.myForm.setTheme(): Change that Form’s Theme.

    The Verj.io Studio can download Sample Themes from the Verj.io Resource Hub.

    A new Workspace Preferences dialog allows you to select a Theme to be automatically configured in every new Project that is created. These preferences are specific to a Workspace, so different Workspaces can be configured differently.

  3. New: Data Connectors

    A Data Connector is a new entity that provides a JavaScript API to interact with a specific REST web service.

    A Data Connector can be added to the new Data Connectors View of any number of Forms or Components. Once added, any of those Form’s or Component’s server-side events can use the Data Connector to interact with the web service.</p>

    The Verj.io Studio can download pre-built Data Connectors from the Verj.io Resource Hub.</p>

This release also contains memory improvements and various bug fixes.
